Types of Data Gathered and Methods of Use

Data acquired during user navigati

The IT systems and software processes responsible for operation of the same acquire certain data during the course of their normal operations, the transmission of which is an integral and essential part of the Internet communication protocols. This is information which is not gathered in order to be associated with identified parties, but due to its nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, permit identification of the users. This category of data includes, for example, the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by visitors to the sites, addresses in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to issue the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (success, failure etc.) and other parameters concerning the user’s operating system and IT environment. Doxee uses these data only to obtain anonymous statistical information on use of the sites and to check they are operating correctly. These data could hypothetically be used to determine responsibility in the event of attacks or other criminal acts carried out on the sites and/or the company. Notwithstanding this eventuality, web contact data are stored for no longer than the duration necessary for the purpose they were gathered and subsequently processed for.

Data supplied voluntarily by the user

The voluntary sending of email to one or more of the email addresses listed on this site will result in acquisition of the sender’s email address, which is essential for responding to the requests, as well as any other personal data included in the message, including any attachments.
The electronic mailboxes assigned to the addresses indicated on the Site, as well as any other Doxee mailbox, are not of a personal nature, even if they carry the name and/or surname of a physical person. Rather, they belong to the Doxee company and their primary purpose is to facilitate the performance of such persons’ working activities inside the company. As such, in order to ensure maximum organisational efficiency in communications and the supply of services, messages sent to Doxee’s electronic mailboxes may be read by persons in the same organization other than the recipient. By sending email messages to the other addresses listed on the Site, the user accepts the data-processing conditions contained in this policy.
Voluntary registration for the services supplied through this site by compiling the corresponding web modules results in Doxee’s acquisition of the data entered by the user and implies consent to their subsequent processing pursuant to the individual policies provided for each individual web module. Users may exercise their legal rights with regard to the data provided at any time – these include requesting that such data be modified and/or deleted.

Data Processing Methods

Data collected by the Site are processed with the aid of automated tools, and are only stored for the period of time strictly necessary for fulfilment of the purposes for which they were acquired. Special security measures serve to avoid loss of data, illegal or incorrect use of the data, and unauthorized access.
Nature of Providing Data
Acquisition of navigation data in an anonymous format is necessary to allow access to the Site’s content. Providing other information, to be sent voluntarily by the user, is optional, but failure to do so may make it impossible for Doxee to satisfy requests made by the user or provide the requested services.
Social Media Widgets and Command Buttons
Social media widgets and command buttons are web buttons often represented as graphical icons (e.g. icons of social networks such as Facebook) which allow users browsing the Site to perform an action or execute a command (e.g. Facebook “Like”) by interacting directly with the social network in question simply by clicking. By clicking on such widgets and command buttons, users are able to share the Site’s content on their own profiles, and it is also possible to publish and display content from the same social network (e.g. photos of their friends) on the pages of the Doxee site. Doxee does not share any navigation information or other user data with the social networks accessible from its pages via widgets or command buttons.

Scope of Communication and Disclosure of Data

Navigation data may be communicated to data processing companies as required for the supply and management of the IT services, for example services or content relating to the use of the Site hosted by third parties. These data may also come to the attention of and be processed by the internal Doxee personnel expressly designated as Data Processors and/or persons in charge of the data processing, according to their respective authorization profiles. Data Processors and/or persons in charge of the data processing may view, use, process, compare and perform any other appropriate operation, including through use of automated tools, only if they have been expressly authorized to do so. Doxee may provide data to the public safety authorities and the police when expressly requested to do so and in the situations authorized by law. No navigation data will be disseminated in any manner.

More specifically, the data subject has the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning them exist (content and origin); to check the correctness or request updates, corrections or additions to the data, as well as the deletion, anonymization or blocking of data concerning them which have been processed unlawfully; the data subject may also object on legitimate grounds to the processing of their personal data.
